"We are called to serve the poor, the forgotten, and the homeless both here in South Carolina, as well as other places in the world." Bishop Robert E.Guglielmone
We at the Diocese of Charleston look for opportunities where Catholics and others interested in our mission will collaborate with us in our ministry. We believe that when we answer the call to serve the poor, our faith is deepened, and we encounter Christ in a more meaningful way in our lives.
To do so, in 2010, the Diocese of Charleston established the International Ministries Department under the Secretariat for Social Ministries. Volunteers are allowed to participate in medical missions and the children’s sponsorship program or Project San Pedro. For more information, click the appropriate link on this page.
